The Kent State University at Tuscarawas Lady Golden Eagles Women's Bowling Team is proud to announce the signing of Ava Starner. Ava is a 2025 graduate of Garaway High School and will attend Kent State Tuscarawas this fall, where she plans to study Veterinary Technology.

During her bowling career at Garaway, Ava earned four varsity letters, was named a two-time IVC First Team selection, served as a two-time team captain, and helped lead her team to the 2025 IVC Championship.

In her senior season, Ava placed second individually at the Eastern Ohio District Tournament and qualified individually for the OHSAA State Tournament, where she finished 58th in the state. She posted a career-high game of 256, a high two-game series of 454, and a high three-game series of 634. Ava completed her senior year with an impressive 180 average.

Coach Beckley shared that Ava will be a tremendous addition to the program because of her determination to continue learning and her strong work ethic in pursuing her goals on the lanes.

The Lady Golden Eagles would like to congratulate Ava on her signing and officially welcome her to the KSU Tuscarawas family!
