Peyton Gleespen has officially committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Kent State University at Tuscarawas, where he will play basketball for the Golden Eagles.
Peyton's commitment is the result of years of hard work, dedication, and excellence in the classroom, on the court, and throughout the community. A standout student-athlete at Tuslaw High School, Peyton has built a reputation as a leader, competitor, and role model.
Academically, Peyton earned Academic Letters for three consecutive years, demonstrating his commitment to success in the classroom while balancing the demands of athletics and extracurricular activities.
In athletics, Peyton earned three varsity letters in basketball and two varsity letters in football. During his senior football season, he received the Captain's Award, recognizing his leadership and commitment to his team. On the basketball court, he earned District 4 Honorable Mention honors during the 2025-26 season and was selected to participate in the 2026 PAC vs. WCAL All-Star Berkeley Classic.
In addition to competing, Peyton is a certified OHSAA basketball official, reflecting his passion for the game and dedication to supporting athletics beyond his playing career.
Beyond academics and athletics, Peyton has devoted countless hours to serving his community. He has volunteered at youth football and basketball camps, participated in spring cleanup projects for local businesses, and spent four years volunteering through the Tuslaw basketball program at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank and other charitable organizations.
Peyton is the son of Jesse and Sara Gleespen and the brother of Sadie and Ella Gleespen. His accomplishments have been supported by his family, coaches, teammates, and the Tuslaw community throughout his high school career.
